the neumes are a 5 piece band who play a unique fusion of jazz, latin, folk, pop and rock. They played a great set for us at MsMM 2006. You can listen and watch as they perform three of their tracks on video taken at the concert:

Fronted by 3 sisters, Emily, Charlotte and Eleanor Harding, the band has been playing together for 10 years and writes all its own material. the neumes have a cross-generational appeal that has led to sell out gigs at The Gate Theatre, Goole, as well as charity gigs in venues such as the Barbican & Fibbers in York. Over the past few years they have also made several appearances on local radio (BBC Radio Humberside, York and Leeds), and in1995 were interviewed as a ‘family band’ by John Peel for BBC Radio 4! Last year the neumes ’were short-listed in the last 28 of the rock category in the Glastonbury Unsigned Bands competition. |
